I don’t get paid for this

I don’t get paid for this

October 1, 2021 4 By Yve Harrold

My blog has been live since March 2020. Like so much about these past few years, it is hard to believe. At that time, I was inspired to put my yearning to write into this format as a result of a conversation. I was talking to a friend, about what, specifically, I don’t know. It was something related to the journey I was on, and he said, “suddenly you look over and your Heart is Riding Shotgun.” The visual and feeling that came to me when I heard that phrase was exactly what I needed. I started building my blog site and have been writing ever since.

It’s time, though, to take a break from the deadlines that, only, I place on myself. Just as it happened at this same time last year, my paying job is requiring more of my energy, and I have less time to marinate in my thoughts.  I also think it is just a really good practice to get out of that space once in a while. And so I am glad I have other exciting, challenging, creative, (did I say paying?), work to engage with.

For my regular readers, I will be back to you soon. If you are the person who has read infrequently, the archives are easy to find, and I hope you will catch up. My writing is timeless if nothing else. I am truly inspired to write because I want my story to matter to someone – to anyone who needs it on that day, at that moment. We each have our journey. And on a lighter note, I want to be certain that you find a good laugh in my words too.

If you have not yet shared my blog with others, you can do it by simply copying the link from the home page, www.mysoulride.com, or any specific post. Also, at the bottom of each post, you can click on the icon for sharing through Facebook or Twitter. The Print icon is there too. Maybe there is something you need to slide into a good old-fashioned card to a friend. Pass it along. I welcome it, encourage it, and appreciate it.

I will continue to write when I can. But, I need a few months to concentrate on other work, because I don’t get paid for this. Did I mention that?

Love to all of you for your outward or unseen support. Okagesama. And if you don’t know, or have forgotten, what that means, it’s time for you to read my archives.
